Context
Retro Playground is a fictional in-person festival, held in Milan, Italy, based on the Memphis Art and Design Movement that was prominent in the 80s. I chose to target the audience that grew up on Memphis, (and possibly, their children) and use the playful designs and childhood imagery of the movement to inform the festival’s branding and identity system. The festival would invite artists as speakers, and include physical installations for children and parents to enjoy.
